This Is What You Do
I imagine you're thinking of me
In that far off place
But I swear we're meant to be
Across the globe
Where my eyes can't see
I imagine you sitting next to me
Miles have us separated
Yet I'm attached by the heart
Always scared we're over
Easily afraid of being left in the dark
So I clutch the sides of my bed
Think of the possibility you'll find someone better
Make useless efforts to console my head
Just those images have me dead
You're all I've got to fight for
For the time I found something true
In you I've found everything and more
Do you know this is what you do
I act like a carefree spirit
A free romantic soul
But I'm in chains
Attached to you
So much it pains
This is what you do
And you'll never know
Cause we're taking it slow
In this dead world
I dream
I wish
For everything we could be
Everything we should be
The distance, our conflict
Drains the life right out of me
Knowing in another place
We would be together
But you talk to me
You set the love inside me free
I imagine you're thinking of me
In that far off place
But I swear we're meant to be
Across the globe
Where my eyes can't see
I imagine you sitting next to me
The reason my heart beats
I live for the day you promise your heart to me
