This Is What I Know

A tweet,a whistle, a beautiful note,
after long consideration, a sigh of sweet relief.
A note, a tune, an afternoon, just listening for fun.
The trees, a breeze, hearing the river run.
Reminds me of the country I knew, a place,
a face of birds, hills, flowers, and the dew.
Running, laughing, sometimes napping and walking up the road.
Swimming, giggling and watching a hop from a toad.
Working, digging, just not quitting this was the place I knew.
I hope somehow I can bring it now to the city where I live.
A girl, three boys and a husband who's love is true.
This is what I know.
