This Is Today

Most days I am over the past and I have let all that baggage go,
But there are days when those memories 
And negative thoughts come crawling to the surface 
To take me for a painful ride
To where my feelings of anger and hatred thrive and reside
I tell you that I have forgiven you and most days I have
But this is today and I can not seem to put the past away
I wish that all these emotions would just subside
And I could move on with my life
If only I were able to forget just as easily as you did
As if I had woken up today and pretended you didn't exist

You do wish you could simply forget like them but you can't. This means that you are sensitive and still care...Wonderfully written as it expresses true sad feelings...Sara...
