This Is the Place

"This is the place." - Joseph Smith
(I'm not endorsing Mormonism, but I was blown away with our Utah visit last year and we'd randomly throw out that quote while we were there.)

This is the place of royalty's crown,
heaven's Grand Staircase spiraling down.

Hoodoo cathedrals beg your pardon,
meandering in the Queen's Palace garden.

This is the place of Angel's Landing,
overlooking paradise, ever expanding.

Fruit orchards flush, blushing rosy.
Deer relax upon a verdant mat, cozy.

Coral desert sand and trees evergreen
are experienced within the same scene.

A river runs through two hundred foot slate.
Around every bend, surprises await.

Quite an alluring appeal for 'The Place,' Juliet. (I'm actually a Merman, not a Mormon. lol). Keep smiling, gw
