This Is Now

this is now 
and ***** was then
simply because 
you're better than other men
not an apology
for i am what i am
take me as is
or don't stand a chance
i like you for who you are
not because i think you're hot
im falling for what's inside
not because im on the spot
i'm grown now 
so the world's different to me
until i met you
my eyes were closed, i couldn't see
our relations are good
but relationship is what i feel
i refuse to pretend 
so what i feel is for real
together always 
is what i've been told before
did nothing but close my mind
and made my heart so cold
i learned life has new beginnings 
so i opened up and let  you in
and im living
so this is now and that was then
