This Is My Confession

I finding myself at the alter with words that I must confess, 

Heavenly Father, I come to you now with such a huge burden sitting upon my chest,

I know with prays you can help guide me and send me into the right direction, 

My secret to you Father is that I have founded another Love to call upon my perfection! 

This might be a shock to some but I know it’s not to you,

You’re always one step ahead of me so you already know what I’m willing to do, 

So tell me Father, am I wrong for having these thoughts skipping around within my mind?

You’ve given me the power of vision but your beautiful creation could cause a man to go 
blind! 

You have also created this beauty and given her all the untainted quality traits, 

I’ll like to ask more of this beauty Father, but certain situations causes folks to hesitate, 

Lord, you know I’m not a cruel man but how can one continue to refuse such a desire? 

There are all those testaments stating that infidelity shall have one cast into the eternal fire! 

I’m not a religious man Lord; I’m more of a spiritual being, 

I saw the words from the testaments but your Disciples are not looking at what I’m seeing,

I’m handing these thoughts over to you Father for you’re the only one I can trust,

Guide me now Lord and show me that these feelings are more than just lust! 

I will walk with you by your side and follow you down the path,

But tell me now Lord, would these feelings I stomach inside bring forth your unmanageable 
wrath?

Lord, what about the Modjadje tribe in Africa where the men could have numerous wives,

You know to this day that culture would have remained the same if the White men didn’t 
indulge in our lives!

I’ll like to give thanks for many things especially the opportunity to display my love,

But you have made this beauty so incredible that I feel like I’m addicted to her like some 
form of a drug, 

I’m confessing that I’m addicted to this beauty with no control of my thoughts,

I’ve tried to get her out of my head but such a beauty has taken over my heart! 

So now Father, you have heard my words and you now see where my uncertainty lies,

I have taking heave to your words and now obeying it I shall try, 

I know you want all of your children to walk in righteousness and to have a form of 
perfection,

So that’s why Father I can only open up to you and tell you my confession!  

“Only thy Father’s ear can truly hear my Confessions”
