This I Know

The Phoenix is unique.
This gentle herbivore has magical powers
Which people seek.
Let's look at it's physique.
It has a scarlet colored swan body, autumn colored
Feathers that softly glow in the dark, and a
Peacock tail that is hot to the touch no matter
What the hour.
The Phoenix is unique.
It's tears when they leak
Can help a person in any dire situation so that
Not even death can lay hold to devour
Which people seek.
It's song pierces ones soul in a mystique
Way so that it encourages good and strikes fear
In evil in less than a half hour.
The Phoenix is unique
For no one can tweak
A feather mixed with unicorn hair or dragon
Heart string core when put in a wand it gives
The owner superior power
Which people seek.
This long living bird in its last minutes has its
Feathers fall out looking like a plucked
Poultry making strange noises before bursting
In to flames at the eleventh hour making life
Seem bleak.
Wait! Look! Out of the ashes has come a new
Bird that in a couple of days will be back to
Normal size with all its magical powers at
Their peak far away from any man made
Towers.
The Phoenix is unique
Which people seek.
