This Ghost Can'T Dance At All
She danced on subtle surfaces a shadow to the mind.
I walked to her grave and felt at home.
The doors creek and the floors bend.
At night, when I’m alone,
I see her yet again.
This specter moves in motions
Emotions can’t behold.
Reaching for her hand,
I see her fade through walls.
Tears bring the pain.
This ghost can’t dance at all.
But, every time,
Yes, every time…
This ghost takes hold of my soul.
By candle light,
She enters my eyes,
Empty and ***** dimensions enthralled.
Why am I still bound
To this love,
And this grave?
She once touched every wound
And had it melt away,
But now this gray loves so cold,
Icy to every touch.
Tattered curtains,
Cracked windows,
This once was our home.
I don’t want to be alone.
This secret,
It visits me,
But I know you’re dead.
Dreams become
An alternate reality,
Nightmares going through my head;
You’re not gone.
No, you’re not gone.
Songs, somber sweet,
Play in every room
Because at night
You dance yet again.
But within me there is no peace.
Bring the fire.
This ghost can’t dance at all.
Hot intensity bleeds from underneath that which consumes me completely,
This home of memories-incomplete.
I will to end this haunting song.
It’s fear,You, that haunts me every night.
Blow out this endless death.
Waiting here, I've become undressed.
I'm naked, raw, without whim.
So, once again,
Once again,
I’ll see you dance at night.
Because this ghost can't dance at all...
