Notes About The Poem

This Gentle Poet

This Gentle Poet

With pen in hand, he scribes emotions tide.
Feelings that live, passions that in him abide.
Shifting to and fro, love runs hot then to cold.
From his heart he transcribes stories to behold.

Blooming forth are words with his tender caress.
Those verbs of extreme feelings he must confess.
His love of quill leads a throbbing, chasing heart.
And scribes magical dreams which are miles apart.

The only gifts of true value which he can afford.
Are those few lines of devoted spirit to record.
Gentle forms of eloquence and beauty shared.
Soul filled, heart to heart, in truth and fully bared.

Exposing that inner self, he trusts readers complete.
To those his heart he gives freely for them to keep.
Rich treasures of dedication in documents prosed.
This gentle poet's love is affectionately composed.
Is this gentle poet's writing so truthfully exposed.
