This Dream
I'm drifting off into Neverland
I can see his face and touch his hand
His smile so big and face so bright
We are walking together on this hot summer night
"Go ahead Bub say what's on your mind."
"You know i'm sorry Patrick for being so stupid, being so blind,
I wish you could come back again for just one day,
We can act like kids again, run around and play,
I should have thought about you, given more support,
I know i am your friend but as your brother I've fallen short,
I'm running out of time and i'm beginning to cry,
I want to hear what you have to say before we say goodbye."
"Well Bub just go ahead and let those tears flow,
It doesn't matter, cause how much you love me I already know,
It's not your fault the reason i'm here
I want you to listen to me, I want to make this clear,
I love you with all my heart and forever will,
Even when you said you hated me, I loved you still,
You have a lot of memories of the things we did together,
Cherish and hold on to them always and forever,
You think your alone in this world, and full of fear,
One thing to remember Bro, Is I will always be near,
No matter where you go or where you happen to look,
I'll be walking next to you you or looking over your shoulder reading your book.
I love you Bub forever and ever as big as the sky!!,
It's time for you to go now, I love you and goodbye."
I wake with my cheeks wet and tears in my eyes,
I hated leaving him and i'm never good at good byes,
Time is running short, I have to get up and go,
My brother will always be with me this i truly now know,
One last thing as I bring this to a close,
How much I miss him and love him he really knows,
When things get tough, times get hard and i want to scream,
I can put a smile on my face and look back at this dream.
