This Dream

I have a certain dream,
That I like to dream a lot
But I cant have this dream
I can not, I can not.

I’ve often dreamed about being a doctor
And healing the sick and ill
But then reality comes along
And stupidity all my dreams kill

I’ve decided to give up on this dream of mine
Just roll over and let the dream die
I am too stupid to be a nurses aide
So why should I even try?

I thought that medicine was a calling of mine
And that successful is what I would be
But hey, we’re talking about dreams of mine
That is not reality.

So I must take this dream, this certain dream
That I sure like to dream a lot
Take it and face up to reality standing
I can’t have this dream, I can not.
