This Death

I thank this death
For without it
I would not know your love
Fated you and I from birth
You saved me from every pit,
An angel from above.

I thank this death
You, my friend more than a friend
I wished I treated you more right.
I regret not this last breath
A joyful free end
'Please, hold me tight'.

I thank this death
You have been my victories,
All this while thought were mine.
You have been my strength,
A better than other stories.
Happy my life with yours twine.

I thank this death
I wished I could stay.
This moment with you is everlasting.
I would go with you any length,
At every passing of each day,
In me your thought long lasting.

I thank this death
For saying 'Thank you'
To you…
