This Day
The sun is risen,
The world is coming awake.
Today is a gift from God,
What kind of day will you make?
Will you give your smile,
To someone in need of a friend?
Give a word of encouragement,
And help their fears to mend?
I know this day I'll be the best
Person I can be,
For just this morning I prayed,
Lord let others met you instead of me.
