This Christmas

This Christmas

      So it is Christmas, an unusual one;
       it will surely pass by and be gone.
     This unusual Christmas is in disarray
  that I feel like a kid asking Santa my way
    to visit and see me to ride in his sleigh
  so Rudolph can take me up, up and away.
    Oh, what fun it would be to be up there
  jingle my way, here, there and everywhere.

I wrote that this morning for my kids and friends because I want to lift them up. Three nights ago, I learned that my brother tested positive. An hour after I wrote this poem, my mother tested positive and a couple of hours later, my niece. I hope deep in my heart that things will get better and return to normal. Merry Christmas, Jan.
