This Candle

This Candle, how it burns for you
That I would see your light
In it, not a darkened glance
Love that burns so bright
Oh that you were just as close
I'd smell the sweetest heart
But alas, the hours fade
I still am held apart
Here I lie, a lover still
Ink upon a page
But these words unspoken
Within silence fade

Deepened talks within the mind
Still, I lack the heart
I sit alone, a graceful end
I long await the start
