This Blank White Page

This Blank White Page
a poem for you
By Franklin Price

This blank white page is calling me
Come write some lines of poetry
Some quite verbose and some quite terse
Yet all in all they make the verse

Where will it go where is the end
Will it stop now or more append
The words drive on say when to quit
I'm thinking now it's the end of it

Surprise surprise that was not all
The words continue rise and fall
Circle round and pass right through
To continue on this poem for you

What's that you say don't be a bore
Stop this right now and close the door
Your welcome's gone and to keep a friend
This verse really has to be the end

You think I care what you opine
I think this verse is mighty fine
But to keep a friend and not appall
I'll make this one the last of all
