Each year is a chapter that remains
to be written.
Time is fleeting and by past events
we’re oft smitten.
Years will make up the book that
chronicles our life.
Each chapter passes faster as we
contemplate afterlife.
We can’t erase chapters even though
some may stink.
Purge hurtful thoughts for we become
as we think.
