Thinking About You
I was thinking about you last night.
I can’t believe it’s already been 3 years,
Since you left this world.
I think about you all the time,
Every day and every night.
I know it’s selfish,
To want you to still be here with me.
I know it was your time,
And I can’t argue with that.
But I wish you were still here.
With every ounce of my body,
I wish you were still here.
I wish I could have one more hug,
One more smile,
One more day to spend with you.
I hung your picture in my locker,
So I could see it everyday.
But now that schools over,
I don’t always look at it.
But I don’t have to see your picture,
To remember your face.
To remember the kindness in your eyes,
Or the happiness in your smile.
The love in your voice,
Or the care in your touch.
I don’t need a picture,
To remember you.
