Think Thoughts Thought On Your Own

Your concerns do not concern me
Unrealistic expectations are to be expected
I will keep campaigning for a world of change
Even though my changes all get rejected

We do not fail because of our failures
We only fail when we finally give up
Being prepared to take advantage of opportunity
Is what the unprepared refer to as luck

Objects in the mirror are not as important
As the objects in front of our face
If you only dare to run on a treadmill
You will always just be running in place

But please don’t let me mislead you
I don’t want you to be like me
I want you to think thoughts thought on your own
Even if we disagree

A very good poem with good advice. Think thoughts, thought on your own. My daughter once told me - that my problem was that I wanted her to be just like me. I told her - U. R. wrong. I want U 2. B. better then me. Thanks for sharing this. Lucilla
