Think B4 You Drink

This night is pointless to me You feel like you’re free While you’re out having fun I’m at home without my Hun You go out and get trashed Next thing you know… you have crashed I rush to the scene Those cops are so mean I see you laying there You didn’t even make it to fair Why didn’t you stay at the house? You could have caught that mouse Now you are in a bag They wipe up your blood with rag That car crashed and rolled Your body is so cold Why did you go out and drink All you had to think You could have still been alive Then your life could have thrived But, you got trashed and high Now to this world you say GOODBYE!

It's sad to lose a friend this way, Marc. Drinking makes me sick (stomach) so I can't relate to the pleasure some people find in getting drunk. Obviously, there are consequences for this behavior and your poem issues a wise warning. Love, Carolyn
