THINK AGAIN
THINK AGAIN
I can’t believe I thought that I was up
For selection in this fancy competition
Perhaps to even win the cherished cup
I can’t believe I thought that I was right
The star player who would win the day
Riding to the rescue like a heroic knight
I can’t believe I thought that I was left
The last one in the team to be selected
The others grinned, never feeling bereft
I can’t believe I thought that I was down
After all that loud cheering and the hype
But it was the others who won the crown
