Things That Make You Feel Good

When you wake up in the morning, with the sunlight on your face
You’ll feel happy and contented, for a new day to embrace.
Your mood will be uplifted, and your happiness profound
you’ll greet the day with laughter, and a smile for those around.

When you see a baby smiling, it just fills your heart with joy
With the giggles of the little girl, and the cuteness of the boy.
The innocence of children, is such a gift beyond compare
The unconditional love they have, is something we should share.

When you walk along the shoreline, with the sand between your toes
You forget your daily struggles, and your worries and your woes.
You see the waves come rolling in, feel the spray upon your face
All your thoughts are pleasant ones, you’re in a happy place.

 You can take a stroll through woodland, where things are peaceful and serene
The wind whispers through the treetops the signs of nature can be seen.
You can listen to the birdsong, as they flit from tree to tree
The environment is beautiful, it’s a relaxing place to be.

You can watch the Autumn colours, of the trees that’s all around
You see the different shades of leaves, as they all fall to the ground.
The seasons are now changing, the winter snow will soon arrive
but as you take your daily morning walk, it still feels good to be alive.

So as the winter weather comes, with the robins and the deer
It’s the time for celebrations, as the Christmas time draws near.
The air is filled with joyous sounds, with Christmas carols sung
And the kids are all excited, with their Christmas stockings hung.

These things are here to make you feel good, and all of them are free
Be it walking in a woodland or just looking out to sea.
You can be playing in the sunshine, or walking through the rain
You can reach the feel-good factor, without any of life’s strain.
