Things I Cherished Best

The memories are all forgot
Go ahead call me crazy
I gave up on what I once sought
All because you left me lonely
The kisses you gave are gone
With wishes left to urn
Walks in the fading sun
Leaving my heart to burn
The joy I once felt
With no bother to fade away
Given away as free as a gift
Yet taken away today
The hugs I enjoyed now gone with the wind
Brushed against jealousy
And rushed by in the wind
Caught by the greedy,
Spindled away into memory
Leaving nothing at rest
Taken from me
Things I cherished best.
