Thin Ice

The ice i stand on is as thin as it gets. I try to walk careful so the ice does not break. I walk on my tip toes getting closer to my destination, but as i look down then look back up, my destination is further than it was before, and I'm forced to walk more carefully and try not to fall through cause once it breaks, everything i worked for will simply be wasted and i have to forget, and act like none of it ever existed. I'll have no more chances to prove myself, and my life will be gone. I may survive the freezing cold water but my heart will forever stay a block of ice.
