Thief of Time

In its passing we learn many new lessons
But in reality they are really Gods blessings
As we repeat our mistakes over and over again
Till before we know it we are women and men

Giving us a brand new view
Each time becoming more and more true
But we aren’t there yet
At least not this sunset

Then it pushes you ahead
For in the past it has always lead
That time now seeming so far
Looking now at who you are

And just as you reach a common stride
It then tells you it won’t abide
Leaving you for the last time
Leaving all others to witness the crime
