They Thrive On Commments

They Thrive on Comments but where is their Poetry?

I don't care if you like me or not.
I am here to be a poetry snot.

I don't want you at the PC all day.
That's not the game any human should play.

If you are an ego freak
Call this EGO SOUP.

If a lonely soul, in need of cheer,
Go to a bar to be with people, have
fun and  genuine cold beer.

If you are so Poetry wise?
Why drool over words on paper in
Poetry disguise

And the truly good Poets here, what is if
with you?
You drool over the worst, clueless
Poetry, which I eschew.

Yes. Oh my God, you must get a reply back.
No Poetry really means a thing to a commenting hack!

It is balancing act!
Worse than the rack!

*Clarification. Poetry snot is simply one who
Likes Poetry over comment reading*

The prize is creating something that you've written, but a shame many get passed by with no feedback. But with anything in life you get back what you put in. You know my views. Tom

I am with you. You know darn well when your poem is superb. It comes from your vision. Words on paper is but the beginning of poetry. They are not poetry. But the notion here, Is any words make up poetry. Being cute and clever? Writing the least we can? Cheating ourselves and others. I thirst to hear something of what any Poet thinks today. Why? Gives me a clue as to who they are and what they value. Love you,mTom. A great poet! Pangie xx Will catch up on comments, TOMORROw

I have to start by saying you are my Greek sis. on soup, however sisters can differ. I think a poet can combine good poetry with looking forward to comments, not the be all and end all but feel good whenever I get a comment. hugs Panagiota mou, blessings, Jennifer. P.S. JAN i ONLY SAW YOUR COMMENT JUST BEFORE I POSTED THIS ONE - LOVE YA,

I understand what you mean, Panagiota. I love reading poetry, and in some cases I am happy to leave a comment, especially when I am truly touched by the content. I also love sharing my poems, but I don't rely on comments to gauge whether my work is good or not! ~ Best regards // paul
