They Persisted In Being Believed

Andromena, Pegasus and Delphinus constellations in the northern hemisphere, had heard rumors of the glorious adventures of Orion, Fornax and Phoenix from talkative sky travelers. “You can believe us, “ the sky travelers told them. But the more they persisted in being believed, the less Andromena, Pegasus and Delphinus believed them. Simultaneously in the southern hemisphere, Orion, Fornax and Phoenix were having the same lack of faith in Rubian cosmonuts who had stopped by to tell tales of Andromena, Pegasus and Dephinus. “I might have believed them a little bit, “ Orion said, except the more they insisted, the less likely I thought it was true.” Fornax and Phoenix concurred. It is a constellation’s instinct to believe what you say, but when you keep saying it, it lacks a truth. It has the same lack of truth as a person who gives six reasons for quitting a job to six different people.

Excellent point to this poem! You're so right. Still, your imagination I'm afraid, is perhaps a step or two beyond mine. When...when...when...are you going to write a book?
