They Just Fade Away

The beach has slowly eroded Waves breaking further away Creeping closer The sand’s remaining grains Tease my fragile fingers Taunting the distance Time’s tide rolls slowly Chasing a sand crab Looking for me Swirling around my feet It whispers “come” “They wait for you” I drift helplessly Joyously Into its abyss John G. Has connotations of the great Poe, John. I can liken it to A dream within a dream. Its beautiful, and as perplexing as Edgar's. Enjoyed it very much.

Multiple interpretations possible here, I feel. 'Joyously into the abyss:' Wide-open there. Great penning, John.

This one is a relaxing read. Oh, to feel the sand and waves. You're a teaser, John.

John, this one laps the mind, a very moving poem with content. The last three lines snaps a focus. Enjoyed my time with this poem.
