They Don'T See the Bruises That I Don'T Show
No one knows,
They don't see the bruises that I don't show.
They can't hear my screams with hands around my neck,
I wonder if there's a God and think he's jumped deck.
The hands are there to silence my words,
To make him feel strong and me insecure.
The fire he spits will sting and cut deep,
He has no remorse nor emotions he keeps.
My wish is for someone to save me, to steal me away,
Yet no one knows and in this hell I stay.
Because no one knows,
They don't see the bruises that I don't show.
