They Can'T See
I know you hear the whispers
You catch them when they stare
Do you wish you could read their mind?
Baby when I see them I don’t really care
They never knew about your history
The troubles you left behind
You camouflaged it so well
They couldn’t see or read between the lines
In time they will learn to accept it
In time they might understand
I know I was there when you needed me
It has just grown to be more then friends
They’re all looking at you now
It didn’t take too long
Now that we’re together
Will you even bother to respond?
They want you back with him
They can’t see how you’re happy with me
They can’t figure how you put the past behind you
This love you’re in now they just can’t see
They will never know how he hurt you
It’s something they don’t need to know
Let them watch us as we’re together
Let them watch us as we grow
It’s something in there mind that they can’t turn
There will be a time when they might see
Hopefully it’s not after they get burned
As time goes by they will learn and know
My eyes have only been fixed on you
Sometime will go by and they’ll have to accept it
When they see us they will see only truth.
