These Kitties Are My Family

These kitties are my family
and I really do love them so
I care for all of their needs
and I hope they’ll never go

Rescued strays are what they are
they’ve come from all around
some call to me quite loudly
others barely make a sound

Varied personalities
yet the same in many ways
sometimes alone, sometimes together
they eat, they sleep, they play

How many homes do each of them have
they still roam all about
the doggie door’s always open
they know they’re never shut out

These kitties are my family
and I really do love them so
I care for all of their needs
and I hope they’ll never go

Very sweet poem, I too have stray kitties who come to visit, and set food out for them, and shelter. One moved in and is here to stay. Cats are so sweet, I love them too.

Anna, a beautiful poem! I love cats and have a dear old yellow tabby named Jeff - a wonderful companion. A house just ain't a home without a cat!!! Best to you as you continue your poetical journey - Bob H
