These Eyes
The things these eyes have seen
Things, I can't explain
They've seen their share of heartache
They've seen their share of pain
They've seen some happy endings
But they're few and far between
It would probably take a lifetime
To tell what they have seen
They've seen their share of senseless war
In a world that's seen too many
They've seen their share of people dying
And believe me, they've seen plenty
They've seen their share of disrespect
From people who just don't care
They've seen their share of deep depression
That leaves an endless stare
The things these eyes have seen
Though now they're tired and week
These eyes can make you glad you looked
Or sorry, for the things you seek
