These Are the Words You Wish You Read

These are the words you wish you read
To bite your tongue and rest your head
On ruffles flushed and feathers red
And weakness coming over

These are the pages that you turned
And all the lies you wished you learned
Stiff on a stake your heart has burned
And weakness coming over

These are the words you seemed to miss
But knocked into you with a kiss
While fire breathing dragons hiss
And weakness coming over

These are the pages that you ripped
Misleading love that you have sipped
While into life you’ve only dipped
And weakness coming over
