These Are the Days
Sometimes change is not my friend
I wish that things could stay the same
And if we don’t have tomorrow
These are the days that I will blame
Though I fear what lies ahead
And what a tortured soul may reap
Somewhere in my heart, I know
These are the days that I will keep
Illusion of memory, prism of thought
Capture the days of rose colored lure
Safe, as I know they can not change
These are the days I hold secure
And if the time comes for us to part
Should such a time ever really arrive
I need not worry for better or worse
These are the days that I’ll not survive
