There You Are

There You Are
By Kevin Robey
May 15, 2014

A lot of ways, a lot of times
I die each way I try to climb
Play it over, again and again
This never-ending dream within

Wash me clean, rinse and repeat
With every day I walk this street
Heal my wounds; leave my scars
So I can keep these fading stars

This isn't new, it's just the same
Down empty streets without a name
Senseless doubts, the growing fear
I'll lose myself by coming here

But I still hear those words afar
"Wherever you go, there you are"
Taking with me my demons in tow
Into this strange place with all I know
