There With You

I didn’t walk away from you
I walked away from me
Please don’t ever think it’s easy
It brings me to my knees

There’s not a minute of my day
When you’re not on my mind
This endless heartbreaks never fading
You’re with me all the time

I wanted to be there with you
I wanted to be there with you
When the storms of life are raging
I wanted to be there with you

I wanted to be there with you
When you needed your hand held
Help pick up every broken piece
This has me shattered myself

As you passed me just today
My apprehension grew
Every emotion came flooding back
The hardest part is facing truth

I wanted to be there with you
I wanted to be there with you
I know I’ve never been the one
It was time I faced the truth

It’s not easier but yet somehow
Maybe someday we can work it out
As for me I guess I’m bowing out
It was time I face the truth

I wanted to be there with you
I wanted to be there with you
I know I’ve never been the one
It was time I faced the truth

I know I’ve never been the one
It was time I faced the truth
