There Was Nothing Like It
comparatively thinking,
that it is a story, the entirety
the hungry, the tired, the down trodden
the past and the present, and even
the future
all just a comparative that held
all the secrets, the mysterious dots
that could never connect,
for it was an impossibility to even
consider such a thing
And then there I was
caught right smack in the middle
ten years ago, it was ten years
ago, when my eyes saw
it for the very first time,
and almost immediately
I knew, there was nothing like it
not no where, no how.
I think it was a phantom
realization
of the inevitable
which rarely coincides with
the past
but there it was
standing before me all perfectly
clear, almost brazen like
in stature
calling itself, The Obvious
Peace!
