There Is No Shadow Like the Sun

There is no shadow like the sun
For sun and shadow are but one
One is subtle one is none
If I count them thus to be
Sun and shadow thus indeed
Both become! Shadow and the shadow’d sun
Shadow and the sun
There is silence and there is sun
Yet both are shadows when undone
There is silence and there is sun
Both are shadows when undone
There is silence and there is sun
Both are shadows when undone
Sometimes in passing it is best
To love no other when bereft
Like shadows of the sun are left
To leave no shimmer on those left
Lest whats left is found bereft
The shadow and the shimmer but not the blest

Dear Bruce, "There is no shadow like the sun." But there is one notable exception to this generalized rule of thumb, "There is no one like Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son." Terrific poem by the way! Keep writing and keep the faith! "Faith can move mountains."
