There Is No Love Left

Do not feel guilt upon your heart
Or let it creep among your thoughts
I burdened myself with waves of shame
And it was all for naught

Do not think what we had was lost
It chose to stay within the past
Like the sun that bathes the day
Not all good things can last

Do not think that it could be saved
Or regret you did not try
I thought that I possessed the fault
But even love can die

Do not cry any more for me
It is time to let this rest
When all we do is reminisce
I know that there is no love left

I enjoyed this very much, Bethany. Strong images---especially like "the sun that bathes the day." Think punctuation will enforce the impact.
