There Father Passing By

There Father Passing By

Stars stuck out in front of our flag
In wind will become wrinkled and wag
As it is being caressed by a breeze
Down each street and through the trees.

Behind stars it is blue in the background
In front of flag can hear a bugle sound
Occurring and everyone there consented
Salutes by all those there was presented.

Weeping woman was there in the crowd
We all could hear her crying out loud
To her with courtesy flag had been given
For honorable husband no longer living.

Truly was such a sad day in every way
While at home in backyard children play
Each time they see plane high in the sky
They think that is their father passing by.

That is why the military doesn't like seeing politicians sticking their noses into our business. I would always like to wine and dine with an open mind. But the problem is when there is no end in site or they try to call it a police action or we are fighting someone else's war or it has existed for over 1,000 years and there is nothing we can do about it. These are definitely the times that try the hell out of every military person's soul. Then I just found out the VA is paying $220,000 a month for a VA hospital at the airport. Jim Horn
