There Are No Tears
There are no tears
To softly cleanse
Covered guilt
Of thoughtless choice.
There are no tears
To gently soothe
Hidden sorrow
Of aged wrongs.
There are no tears
To finely heal
Scar-bound wounds
Of misbegotten wars.
