There are Friends

There are friends you meet occasionally
but you're not really close
There are friends who are family
that you love the most
There are friends you like romantically
but it never worked out
There are friends who are buddies
okay to fuss and shout
There are friends you hang out with
just running about
There are friends you want to be seen with
giving you some clout
There are friends you work with
seeing only at your job
There are friends you practically live with
okay being yourself and a slob
There are friends you break up with
never really got along
There are friends you would die for
right or wrong
There are friends of every sort and kind
the most loyal your love he hogs
There are friends of unconditional love
that my friend is your dog.
