Their Eyes
On a bright beautiful day.
Spring Sun was shining
To take some gloom away
For darkness surely remained
In his eyes of a stray.
Neither saw love nor hate
Emptied dull orbs stared down
Didn't see any angered state
Two glances and she knew
Another will challenge her fate.
Like a pebble against black hole
Her eyes again looked up
To search pain as a whole
Saw a smile so blank and ugly
Hurriedly closed her window to soul.
A rude voice woke her up
Wrinkled face and crooked nose
Unconscious mind came to a stop
The old man was scolding so bad
Asked if she was even aware a drop.
The void was long gone
His anger was soothing lullaby
Inside those eyes like a grey stone
She saw anger and pain endured
Mesmerized by the life they shone.
One with a pair having nothing
Another pair with matured grey blur
As if in there a world comes to living
Even if a blackhole tries to devour
There will be eyes to hold onto something.
