Their Color Is a Lover's Hope
A daffodil is the daintiest flower,
even surpassing the beauty of a rosemary;
so yellow and fragrant, it grows anywhere
the sun is warm and the soil is dry.
We see this flower on many lawns and meadows,
on hills slopes, or hiding beneath willows;
it's also found in regions of Southern Europe
as well as in Texas...their color is a lover's hope.
