The Yellow Cardinal
Rare enhances his beauty
yellow feathers is the sun is bright
Are you for real such an odd sight
the yellow cardinal flew from the sky
perched on a tree branch and spied
bird feeder in the yard below
feasting on seeds cardinal bird of yellow
One in a million most are fiery red
but this fellow his feathers yellow instead
Black mask and tan in his wings
the cardinal appeared first in spring
Yellow feathers crown his head
tail of tan and yellow no red
The color such a bright and vibrant hue
for this guy being red wouldn't do
More northern in their region be
but grace us southerns with him to see
I hope the yellow cardinal becomes common to
in Tennessee a white cardinal is there a blue?
