The Writer In Me Wants You To Know

There's more to a person than meets the eye.
More than words can say.
The writer in me wants you to know
What up front, I can't convey.
Water runs deep
Too deep for conversation.
To surface the soul
Requires time and meditation.
It's impossible to express
When we don't know what we feel.
It's a challenge to separate
The fake from the real.
When shadows of the past
Conceal the futures light,
A person can feel
Imprisoned inside!
The writer in me
Wants you to know
That there are certain things
One cannot let go.
We can battle with fear,
Insecurities overcome,
After all negativity is
Not something we welcome.
Occasionally the words
Will fail to follow
What we want to explain,
Desire to show...
Something
The writer in me wants you to know.
