The World's First Poem

A poem was written before man began
From the words found in the breeze
The oceans and sky were painted the same
And green for the grass and the trees

The words just seemed to fall in place
Appearing from the Heavens above
The Poet's voice was strong and proud
While filled with His Fatherly love

For the Poet knew the words to write
Spoken with Heavenly perfection
He wrote in all the lakes and streams
That cast His perfect reflection

He wrote of all the birds and bees
And of all the beautiful flowers
To write of all these breathtaking things
He must have written for hours

The words He wrote are around today
For all who want to see
Words that inspire the poets to write
Poets like you and me
