The World We Killed

The world we live in-live died not knowing what killed it They asked, What happened? But we thought we freed it? Look at our hands they are bleeding, proving we did it Over and over we read the signs, But did we heed it? With our works we were banished With our hands crucified it Our "culture and religion" we abandoned when greed appeared We tried our best to erase the footprints of history But continually and repeatedly the un-biodegradable fossils proved it What we thought we hid, Isn't this it? With greed overtaking our consciousness, we were deceived, Weren't we? Now were afraid-fidgeting saying, How did I do this? Did I do this? I didn't mean it? Even at the scene we still denied it Saying, "No it wasn't me" Then who did it? We start pointing accusing fingers instead of admitting Pride, is it? Arrogance, could it be? Fear, maybe? Now we are facing our consequences reaping the seed we sowed.

You nailed it my friend, greed of mind overtook Love of heart. We can accept the responsibility, and stop the finger pointing. Sincerely, Moses
