The World Keeps Turning

How can the world keep on turning
As I'm riddled with grief
It feels as though no one cares
And I'm in disbelief

Just yesterday you were here
And today you are gone
I know your pain is no more
But it's hard to be strong

It's as if time has stood still
And the world keeps passing me by
I wish it would rain
To hide the tears that I cry

How can people smile
Or the sun shine on this day
Do those around me
Not know how I'm dismayed

I guess the fault is not theirs
I'm sure that they've been there too
Yet I feel I'm the only
To ever feel how I do

I'm sure they loved the ones they lost
And with time they healed and grew
But until the time I come to grips
I'll go on missing you
