The World
You looked at me, I looked at you.
With tears in our eyes, we said "I do."
It was forever, I knew it would last.
We stayed together and watched the years pass.
As I stand here beside you , I know it's true.
I wouldn't have known love if I hadn't known you.
You are my world, you are my love.
I thank the Lord who watches above.
He sent me you, so long ago.
How I made it till then, He only knows.
We watched our son grow from a boy to a man.
After all these years you're still holding my hand.
We're growing older, our hair has turned gray.
Our son has found love and I hope today..
She'll be his world, she'll be his love.
Blessed by the Lord who watches above.
To have and to hold, until life is through.
He will love her like I love you.
